Day 1

Makassar, Maros, Toraja

Arrive at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport in Makassar. Afterwards, drive approximately 30 minutes to Rammang-Rammang Karst in the Maros Regency. Take a boat and explore the magnificent views of the 3rd largest karst forest in the world. Continue your trip to the north and lunch will be served at Restaurant near Pare-Pare, a small port situated 155 kms north of Makassar. Enjoy afternoon coffee or tea with spectacular view of Bambapuang Mountain before you arrive in Toraja. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Rantepao, Toraja.

Day 2

Toraja Full-Day Tour

After breakfast at hotel. A full day exploring Toraja Land, A statue of Jesus Christ at Makale in Tana Toraja Regency. It is the tallest statue of Jesus Christ in the world - with its height at 40 metres. It stands on the top of Buntu Burake hill about 1.100 metres above sea level. Continue to visiting the cliff-side stone grave with wooden effigies on the balcony at Lemo, then continue to Londa to visit coffins hang from cracks in the rocky face. Lifelike wooden sculptures or effigies complete with clothes, stand in neat rows in cracks hollowed out in the cliff faces, very much like the windows & balconies of a house. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. After Lunch, visiting the traditional wooden carving village at Kete Kesu. Late afternoon back to hotel for your overnight stay and dinner.

Day 3

Toraja Excursion

Wake up early to catch the beautiful sunrise at Lolai, then back to hotel for showering and breakfast. After breakfast at hotel. The second fullday excursion, visit the traditional cotton weaving village at Sa'dan. The ancient megalithic stones in Bori Kalimbuang and then proceed to Sesean Mount to view the large-ricefield terraces at Batutumonga. Lunch will be served on this spot. After Lunch, continue to visit the boulder grave at Loko' Mata', then take a nature-walk (an easy walk) through the rice-field and find some local tribes activities along the way down to the village and later on, you will be picked up by our driver and transfer back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Note : The Toraja funeral ceremony is a living cultural ritual and one of the most iconic highlights of a Toraja tour. If a ceremony happens to take place during your travel period, we would be delighted to bring you to witness this unique tradition. Participation depends entirely on local schedules, so visits are subject to availability. When attending, we usually bring a small customary gift such as coffee, sugar, and a carton of cigarettes as a sign of respect to the host family. A typical Torajan local fruit and livestock market, Pasar Bolu, can also be visited.

Day 4

Toraja, Sengkang - Lake Tempe

After breakfast, takes four-hour drive to the silk city of Sengkang. Stop by Bambapuang for a refreshment to see the erotic mountain of Bambapuang once again. Early afternoon, check-in at the hotel. After lunch, enjoy boat ride on the Lake Tempe to the floating villages. Witness the the locals doing their daily activities on the lake. Late afternoon check-in to hotel for your overnight stay and dinner.

Day 5

Sengkang, Bira (White Sandy Beach)

Enjoy your breakfast before check-out. Today we will set another long drive to Bira Beach, located at the very end of the south-eastern tip of Sulawesi Island. Its home to handsome Buginese Wooden Boat Builders. During the trip, we will stop in several villages to their daily routine. Lunch enroute. Our next stop is in the Tana Beru wooden boat industrial village to see Phinisi's Wooden Boat are being built. In the afternoon arrival Bira Beach. Dinner and stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 6

Island & Snorkeling Tour

Breakfast at hotel. Today we will take you on a snorkeling tour in Kambing Island if the weather permitted. Enjoy the world class under water with a snorkeling gear. Afterwards we continue to Liukang Loe Island for Lunch. Free at your own leisure. In the afternoon we return by boat to the mainland. Dinner and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 7

Bira, Makassar

Breakfast at hotel then check-out. Today we depart another long journey to Makassar. On the way we will stops to see the highlight of the region. Firstly, visiting Bisappu Waterfall, a scenic waterfall located in Bantaeng distric. Continue to down to Jeneponto, then stop at salt farming village. Lunch enroute. Late in the afternoon arrival Makassar. Dinner served at the local restaurant. Afterwards we go to the Hotel for check-in. Stay overninght at your Hotel.

Day 8

Makassar - Departure

Breakfast at hotel. Check out then tour to visit old Port of Makassar, called Paotere, it is home to the handsome world- famous Pinisi Boats of Buginese - Makassarese Schooners, here also you may can see the fishery market and daily life of Makassar fishermen's around port. After that continue our to visit Fort Rotterdam which was built about 1545 under King Tunipallangga of Gowa. Then Lunch at local restaurant. After Lunch directly transfer to Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar for your flight back to home or others destinations. End of services.
