FAQ
Bali is a year-round destination, although the atmosphere changes with the seasons. The drier months, generally from April to October, are particularly pleasant for cultural visits, countryside walks and exploring the island's northern and eastern regions. During the wetter months, tropical showers bring lush greenery to the rice terraces and mountain valleys. Temperatures can also feel noticeably cooler in the central highlands than along the coast. Pacébo recommends choosing your travel dates according to your preferred experiences rather than relying on a particular season to guarantee favourable weather.
Yes. As this is a private journey, selected activities and departure times can be adjusted to accommodate your interests and preferred pace. Guests may choose to spend longer at certain locations, shorten a visit or allow additional time for photography and relaxation. However, the journey covers several regions of Bali, and some transfers are essential to reaching the next overnight destination. Significant itinerary changes, additional services or alternative accommodation arrangements should be discussed in advance and may involve price adjustments.
The journey can be suitable for families and older travellers who enjoy cultural exploration and are comfortable with moderate walking and regular road transfers. Younger children and guests with limited mobility may find certain temple steps, countryside paths or longer travel days more demanding. Pacébo can review the ages, mobility requirements and interests of your travelling companions before confirming arrangements. Where practical, individual activities may be adapted or alternatives considered, although accessibility cannot be guaranteed at every location.
Photography is generally welcome at many of Bali's cultural sites, but respect for local customs is essential. Visitors should seek permission before photographing individuals, private homes or religious ceremonies. Certain sacred areas, ritual activities and objects may not be appropriate to photograph, even when a site is open to visitors. Your guide can explain local expectations and help identify suitable photography opportunities. Professional filming and drone operations may require additional permission, depending on the location and applicable regulations.
Dolphin-watching excursions may be arranged as an optional activity, subject to availability, suitable weather and local operating conditions. Pacébo encourages choosing operators who maintain a respectful distance from marine wildlife, avoid chasing or surrounding dolphins and prioritise animal welfare over close encounters. As dolphins are wild animals, sightings and proximity cannot be guaranteed. This experience is not part of the standard itinerary and would require advance coordination, with any additional costs confirmed separately.
Pacébo can assist in coordinating dietary preferences with selected restaurants and accommodation providers when informed in advance. Vegetarian and plant-based meals are available in many parts of Bali, although options may be more limited in smaller communities. Food allergies, gluten-free requirements and strict dietary restrictions should be communicated during the booking enquiry so that suitable arrangements can be assessed. While reasonable efforts will be made, completely allergen-free preparation environments cannot always be guaranteed.
Certainly. The itinerary can be adapted to include additional nights or complementary experiences, depending on your interests and available travel time. Possibilities may include a Balinese cooking experience, a traditional wellness treatment, additional time in the countryside or a longer stay by the sea. Pacébo can also help integrate this journey into a wider Indonesian holiday. Any extension or additional activity is subject to availability and will be quoted separately before confirmation.
We recommend sharing your proposed arrival and departure flight details with Pacébo before purchasing non-refundable tickets. This helps ensure that transfers and the first and final days are coordinated comfortably. Booking several months in advance is advisable, particularly during popular holiday periods when preferred hotels and room categories may have limited availability. Early planning also provides greater flexibility for special requests and itinerary adjustments. Last-minute enquiries can be considered, subject to availability.
