Day 01
Makassar – Toraja

Arrive at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport Makassar and then drive up to Toraja. Some stops can be made for photo taking during the trip and lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Barru. Enjoy afternoon coffee or tea with a spectacular view of Bambapuang Mountain bedore you arrive in Toraja. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Rantepao, Toraja Utara.

Day 02
Toraja : Papa’ Batu – Natsir’s Organic Farm – Tampang Allo – Kambira – Suaya

After breakfast, depart for Rembon to visit Papa’ Batu, the 700 years old traditional house with a stone roof. Then continue to Natsir’s Organic Farm, where you can learn to make traditional Torajan chocolate in bamboo from scratch. From there, drive to Sangalla’ to see the baby grave tree in Kambira, the cliff burial site used by the Sangalla’ royal bloodline in Suaya, and the suspended coffins and graves carved into the cave walls in Tanjung Allo. After that, head back to Rantepao and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 03
Toraja : Pasar Bolu – Bori’ Kalimbuang – Palawa – Sa’dan To’ Barana’

After breakfast, make your way to Pasar Bolu to see the biggest buffalo market in the world and learn more about what buffaloes mean to Torajans. After that, drive to Bori’ Kalimbuang, a megalithic stone site symbolizing the great funeral ceremonies held in the past. Then continue to Palawa where you can see traditional Torajan house (Tongkonan) that is one of the nominees for UNESCO World Heritage in Toraja. Then continue to Sa’dan To’ Barana’ to visiting the weaving village. There you can watch women weaving local traditional Tenun textiles and perhaps even buy some. Then, drive back to Rantepao and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 04
Toraja – Palopo – Makassar

After breakfast, drive to Palopo for flight to Makassar. Enjoy free time in Makassar until departure to your next destination.
